His dad is a Juve fan and he's been angling for a move here for years. Fans put these stupid things in front of players to hold all the time. He'll be kissing the badge in a couple of weeks.
that reminds me of those two dorks a couple summers ago that stalked Pogba and essentially forced him to say he was staying.

I don't understand this rivalry. Fiorentina are never going to win titles. Isn't that obvious. You cannot expect to keep your best players who want to move up to the next level.

It's childish

I’ve spent some time in Florence. Their hatred for Juve is beyond disturbing. Almost every restaurant and bar has something derogatory about Juve. Their 4-2 win in 2013 is pinnacle of their existence. From what I gathered from the locals it goes back to Baggio. They still haven’t gotten over it 30 years later.

Edit: found these photos on my phone

I'm ok with it if it's playful rivalry. But they are a bit mental

Always found it bizarre when provisional clubs go out of their way to have a rivalry with more established clubs. They are always one sided and the larger club barely cares.

To hate Juve so much because we bought their best player 30 years ago is odd.

Even in the UK in (authentic) Italian restaurants you see Napoli and Fiorentina merch and some anti-Juve stuff dotted about. You can normally have a bit of banter with them about it as a paying customer, they expect that, but some of these people have no life and it becomes some weird obsession.

Fiorentina are relevant to us for 180 minutes per year, that is it.
