well, if it is true, probably because he thinks he is not suited for his system
That's a big call to make, sacrificing one of our few stars for your system.

I'm not really fond of managers who need players with specific skillsets to play their system. When it does work it can make for a formidable team, like what Pep and Klopp did. But they tend to lack flexibility when the system doesn't work out. I like coaches who can make a team with the players they have, provided they are quality of course.

Also there's the risk that if it doesn't work out and the manager leaves the club, you're stuck with a bunch of system players who the next manager might have difficulty with.

Maybe if I'm talking out of my ass here, but we are really putting a lot of trust in Motta (as we should). I just hope he knows what he's doing.

you make a good point, but the hope here is similar to how conte kicked out krasic and was proven right, chiesa's kicking out works out too.

I understand what you are saying, but there are very few coaches than have the hability to do that and we bougth Motta specifically for the way he plays and his system, so its only logical that he gets to say which players he thinks he can use in that system and which dont...

And sorry but I really dont know if I would call Chiesa "a star" at the moment...

Also if like you say Motta leaves we will still be without Chiesa, since he seems to not want to renew for the money we offer so.. :boh:

I tend to have the same opinion about coaches adapting the system to the characteristics of the players you have.

However, the only difference now is that the squad in general needed a big overhaul anyway and the style of play that Motta wants is night and day different to Allegri. This transfer market gives us the opportunity to bring in the players he wants. I also don’t think he got all the players he wanted at Bologna anyway.

My biggest concern is that it is not so easy to execute such a large squad revolution. If successful, half of the squad will consist of new faces.

Well he hasn't been playing like a star, but relative to the rest of the squad he, Vlahovic and Bremer are the "stars" of the team imo.

Not sure what Salemakers or Orsolini have that Chiesa doesn't.
They have a much lower salary i guess lol

Also i call bs on the rumor about Motta not wanting Chiesa because of not fitting his system, it is rather clear by now that it’s about his contractual situation, the demands are simply higher than the production he is offering, otherwise just watch Chiesa potentially renew on the same wage or a bit lower and he will suddenly become a good fit to Motta’s system.

We've had a coach that was able to play with whichever player we bought & he did great in his first stint but was horrific in the second. We have failed to win the CL in the last 28 years. We gave the world jihadball. Our management under Agnelli is bittersweet. He did great things in the first half but got desperate after failing to win the CL. It's a miracle that we are still a competitive team after they doubled down on their own stupidity. Not to mention if you go for the king you better win. Our own ultras are shit. Even if Jesus was our coach we'd still be crucified in Italy.
Now we have a competent sporting director, I would like to believe he is but he is without experience at the highest level. We also have a rookie coach. Mistakes will be made but I hope there will be patience.
Personally I hope we hit the ground running with Motta but that will be a miracle especially since badass blessed both the coach & swore by his fitness team.
It's a wonder the whole world is still mesmerised by the aura of Juventus but here at Tuz we know jj is shit.
Salut to all you degenerates. May we blessed with a semblance of football that pleases the eyes & gets results.

Poor Chiesa. I guess he should be getting food stamps if he renews for less than 5m per season. I feel for him.
If you think footballers are overpaid in general that's a different story

I hope they come to an agreement and he make all the ones writing him off already because of this situation eat their word @Lion tho should just suck on some salami

I think he’ll end up staying, not because we want him to but because there seems to be 0 interest in him from other clubs, even with one year left on his contract.

This should be a big wake up call for Chiesa.

I think he will stay and sign in line with the conditions we initially set
