Nice finish.

I have never understood why he doesn't play on the right more.
Because allegri doesn't believe in attacking wingers

Now there's an idea for Allegri...if he watches the games and learns anything from them.

Chiesa - Vlahovic - Yildiz

Against Atalanta put Milik in the middle and let's see if we can have some sort of attacking football with possession for once.
Ofcourse this is an obvious solution, shame that Allegri's handsome 7 mill a year wage doesn't tell him that.

2 mins at rw in 433 and scores
Even then it was some sorta fcked up hybrid not exactly stretching Napoli's garbage defence but yildiz lining up further back focused on tracking all the way back. Poor dude can imagine how the pre sub instructions went just because he had to come on with chiesa on at the same time. Scared shitless to push forward.

Glad he got his goal, showed the right attitude and desire tonight but was let down by the poor finishing of others, probably the main positive to take out of this game was seeing him finally show up again when it matters.

Should have had at least one goal or assist to his name tonight, looked very lively and involved which is a positive, but the main negative is that once again he is wasteful with both his finishing and final pass, most times he either overthinks it too much or just rushes things unnecessarily, needs to find back the right balance to his game.

His finishing is not elite level tbh.
simeone pepe single handidly won conte's first serie a title thanks to his incredible goal vs napoli and his bicycle kick vs lazio.

chiesa has been here 4 seasons and his biggest contributions is he runs a lot hehe

I'm just picturing Pepe making the pass and then running over the defence to bicycle kick his own assist lol.

Chiesa is still our best player, play him on the wing, ideally on the right, and most concerns about his skill go away.

Doesn't make sense to doubt his level, he is simply misused.
Misused is a good way to describe him, but still not fully fit and lacking continuity is another very important detail to add, it’s not like he doesn’t get himself into his preferred areas to receive the ball anyway, it’s about what he does with it most of the time that ends up frustrating many because he still lacks precision and his decision making isn’t too sharp either.

His fitness is a concern of course. Still I think he would be a lot more effective if used differently. We still him breaking through in our current non-ideal system, he would be more consistent starting wide as an inside forward.

I expect him to look more like his old self with Spalletti if he implements a good system in time for the euros.
