Still think he could've been a perfect AM for Allegri's 4312 – quite strong, pacy, deadly shot. But Max knows better.
Yeah, He'll play the vastly superior player who can only play in the centre, in the centre, and Berna who's actually better on the side, on the side. While also playing either mandzukic or costa on the side, because they can only play on the side.

Surprise, Max knows better than some tuzer. All I'm saying is Berna is not an inside forward or classical winger like Costa, he has qualities to be almost a classical treq imo. Having him and Paulo both in more or less free roaming role could be interesting.

So first 11 or first of the bench? I think he will start as first sub with Mandzu, Dyba, Higuain and Costa starting. Hopefully he will be able to bench Mandzu during the season.

I see him mostly as an incredibly versatile player. I cant stress enough how incredibly great that is in a 4231. And not just cause he'll play a bazillion games.

A versatile player knows where to run when and where, on all 3 positions. Cool. But that also means he's very comfortable in swapping positions during games, during counters, basically he can see where he needs to go depending on where Dybala is at.

Quite the nightmare for defenders, is the great movements this can create

Oh he's actually at J Medical! Let's hope this gets wrapped up asap with no issues! Leave the saga side of things to Schick's transfer only!

Well both Costa and Berna play preferably on the right, but Costa can play more comfortably on the left than Berna so I think Costa will become the eventual starter on the left and Mandzu will become the rotational option for ST. Think Mandzus place on the left wing has ended, even if he played it almost perfectly.

---------------Mandzu/Higgy----------------
Costa/Pjaca--Dybala/Berna--Berna/Cuads

I think he'll start off the bench going into a starting role after a couple of games. The heavy 10 shirt can't sit on the bench, they'd get far too much criticism for it. Hence why I think he may get a different number for year 1.

Yep that versatility between players in the "31" spot will be handy over the course of season!

Yeah, it really is exciting transfer just because of it. Im certain he will thrive him and will be world class in two years. Too bad Berardi didnt want to follow his path. We just need new Italian CM talent now, hoping it will be Mandragora.
