We gonna switch surely between more systems.
I think the Champions League formation, will be a sort of replica of 2013 CL-campaign one if we sign Berna.

Higuain - Dybala
Bernardeschi
Marchisio - Khedira (?)
Pjanic
Sandro - Chiellini - Bonucci - ?

Don't know what the plans with Mandzukic are ... I don't know why and it is odd, but I see Allegri using him as a physical central midfielder and surpise the football world.
I'd surely swap Marchisio and Pjanic there.

And... well, if we're gonna play something like that it means Sandro is out. Cause there's no way he'd play there.

Why not? We have so many strikers! More strikers than wingers atm
Why not what? Play 4-3-3?

Because, if we play 4-3-3, it means Berna should be playing behind strikers, which puts Dybala on bench -- and it ain't gonna happen.

I know Berna is capable of playing on the side but IMO we'd just waste his talent there. He's not the guy who uses the speed etc., but more like technique kind of guy which holds the ball and gets the action going.

We don't have Berna and hopefully, we never will!
Why cant Dybala play in a trident? He is primarily an SS, that only plays deeper when it is needed, like DP did.

We do have more than 6 players for 3 positions Madzu-Higuaín-Dybala and Pjaca-Shick-Cuadrado.

And Sandro can play as a LB, he is not a Cuadrado

My main concern about a 4-man defence is that I still don't trust Bonucci's defensive solidarity in a 2 CB defense, as we have seen in the CL final, our defensive solidarity remains a major concern in competitive games!
The reason Conte used that 3-5-2, or 5-3-2 in the first place was to fix our defense, against smaller teams, we can risk more offensive formations, but we cannot entirely drop the 3 man defense.

Dude, Berna is 99% a done deal already. He's our player you can bet on it.

So yeah, we should play him behind strikers. And then Dybala shouldn't be playing on the wings, since Pipita will be upfront.

Theres no Alex Sandro would play lb? Thats a 4-3-1-2
Sorry.

I saw that as 3 man defense. Didn't see a question mark on the RB.

Should Berna come, he will be a sub, most probably Cuadrado's, he is inferior than any of our starters, let alone Dybala, we are not going to change our formation for a subber.

I think Allegri will play him on the right, allowing him to cut in.

I would definitely go with a 4-3-1-2 and a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 as backup.

No he won't. Because he's not coming from Viola for around 50mln euros, getting a 5 year deal worth around 4mln per season, just so he could sit on the bench. Whether you like it or not. Maybe he won't start the first matches but he will surely have around 3000 minutes played which is top 7. Next season he will play even more. It's obvious. We surely ARE going to rely on him. A lot.

Man, if we sell Cuadrado I can see us switching easily to 4-3-2-1 (if we sign a DM, which we will) because we can still play all of Mandzukic, Pjaca, Dybala, Berna and Schick in that formation.

In the future, not this season, even Sandro, a much much better player, was carefully and slowly introduced in our team. Allegri is truly great at this,he wont put him into more pressure than he can handle.
And even if he is ready, he would also need a sub that can replace him in this role, when needed to rest, which we don't, maybe in two years Bentancour will, but right now we don't.
Although I don't rate Berna, at all and I still hope that we will dodge him, I would be glad to see us playing with an AMF, I think this is what we lack the most.Berna is just not good enough to curry our entire team on his shoulders though, at least not yet...

Sandro came from a different league in a different country. Berna is coming from serie a and is italian (should mean less problem settling in). By the looks of things he will be our main offensive signing so having things like CL in mind we cant babysit him for months.

I'd be happy with that. Is it true we need to sell a non EU outside Italy so we can use the second non eu spot?

Sandro has played 2200 minutes in his first season. Only 700 less than Evra. That's a whole lot for a first season and somebody who came from a different league. Berna will play more than that, mark those words. ESPECIALLY if we play him behind striker(s), since that will be his role.

Secondly, yes, we have a sub for him. Because Berna can play on both sides and in the center. So we can replace him with pretty much everyone you mentioned above in the other post.

Thirdly, well, you might be right. But you're wrong in one thing again imo: we ARE getting him. No point to discuss if we'll sign him, but when. But let's see it official when he holds a number 10.

Yes, we need to sell. I mean, clubs need to do it in order to sign the other non-eu player. However, despite us signing Bentancur and him staying at Turin (?) we did not register him yet. So we actually have 2 spots available already.

It seems we're thinking whether to give that spot to Bentancur or not, so it seems we're thinking to loan him somewhere IMO.

DP wont like that.
