People around here hating on/ underrating Bernardeschi because he's italian. 25mil :howler: That's barely enough to sign a Zaza these days
:lol2: as soon as someone doesn't rate a player it's because he's Italian, lol...

Dude, we sold Vidal for 40mln. If you value both the same then there's something seriously wrong with you. That's just crazy.

But you should be aware that being an Italian does raise a price naturally.

Why do people keep bringing up "but but we sold Vidal for 40mil" as if it's some kind of standard to measure every transfer we do against :howler: We undersold the shit out of Vidal, he was worth way more than 40mil but we were forcing him out. Stop using it to evaluate other transfers.

It's a good indicator to see how silly overpriced other players are.

One is a great buy. The other is a rip off.

No, it isn't

That's like saying since we're about to let Dani Alves leave for free, and he is coming off of great season where he was integral in CL run, then we should be able to get another great RB for free this season. It completely ignores important mitigating factors.

The rip off was us selling Vidal, it was way undervalued deal in 2 years ago. Now the market gets crazier for every few months, so I don't get why you keep comparing a rip off in even 2 year old standards to current excessive sellers market, where anyone can hold up for extortionate fees since the EPL TV deal happened.

A player who would gone for 25m while back is minimum 40m starting price for negotiation now, and 60-80m is seen as ok for players who aren't even super stars. You either adapt to the reality of this or get out of the way.

Two years ago this player should come with 18mil, nothing above 29 is justiable, even by today's inflation.
We have plenty of options in the 40+ region. Still unfortunate though, as he is inferior to our current options...

Not really. It has nothing to do with what I said.

Alves is old and was out of contract.

Vidal was 2 years ago, prices went mad after Pogba sale and EPL new supermoney

You make it sound like it's 25 years. I can't say I agree cause IMO it didn't change a lot, maybe just 10%. Take a look at transfers two years ago and you won't notice a difference cause players went for high numbers.

If you were right then Bonucci would cost around 100mln right now, and not 50-60mln. :boh:
