Soooooo it's not happening now?
It's not definitive yet, but it's starting to look a bit bleak. It's a "pay up or shut up"-situation. Juve want to include players in the deal, but Viola will have none of it.

Juve will either pay the 45, or back away.

I must admit, I will be quite saddened if we don't land this guy. He's the one I really want out of everyone we're being linked to.

I am reading in Italian press - si Chiude al 45m cash - nessun contrapartita tecnica

i.e Will close at 45m - no Sturaro or Pjaca exchange.
Pjaca? lol why would we give them Pjaca, thats dumb.

Exactly.
All the reports are saying it will be done today or tommorow.
Money only,no players included.
45 Mil to Viola not sure if including bonuses or not.

Sportmediaset - Busy day at Juventus!
"Busy day at Juventus" headlines Sportmediaset explaining like today will be a very busy day for leaders Juventus. If Szczesny has now landed in Turin, in the coming hours he will also touch Mattia De Sciglio but Marotta continues to be engaged s several fronts: in the afternoon is expected the verdict on the case Schick and in the evening the meeting with the agent to try Bernardeschi to close the deal. Juventus and Fiorentina are in a hurry, because the player does not want to go to training camp with the purple team, so the next few hours will be important: to agree on the 10 mil(some say 5) of bonuses payment.

That's right, and that's why I was surprised to read this as well:

Juve will either pay the 45, or back away.

Because the situation is quite the opposite actually.
Viola first wanted to include Orsolini in the deal, then Pjaca and finally Sturaro. For Sturaro Juve was willing to give him away but he didn't want do lower his wage demands from Viola.

At the moment, from what I'm reading from Italian sources, the deal will go through for 40m in cash plus 5m in bonuses.

If we have only 40-50mln to spend which would rule out one player then we should sign the priority which would be a mid player. It's our biggest problem right now tbh.
We shouldn't only have that to spend. We should be able sign both and a fullback. We are right now in +35m.

how did you calculate that +35? :D If we take into account that most of Costa's deal will be paid in 2 years and don't count the 40m this year, we also have to take into account the numerous deals from past for which we have to pay this year, that way we're in deep - not +.

If we ignore the whole installments and obligations thing and just count the full sums of this years arrivals and departures again we're nowhere near +35. I don't think we'll be able to spend 40 for CM, 40 for winger backup and 20 for RB, we're not Milan.

Young prospect and selling to a major rival.

What? We're not a rival to Fiorentina. They're reluctant to sell to us, because their fans hate us. But we're on a completely different level. Their rivals are teams like Milan, Inter, Atalanta, Lazio, ...
