at lest he is italian its good that we are still promoting italian talents in our team because its a shame that in the starting formation there are a few italians: gk, zambrota, cannavaro, camoranesi and now balzaretti as well

It would be nice if Balzaretti 'came through' as a talent. That way we could replace Zebina for free, and as djleli said we would have another Italian starter.

I think Balzaretti's still a good way from being a fully fledged international,also considering that he won't be getting many games to attract Lippi's eye.

Somehow I'm not sure if he gets to play as much as he plays in Torino. If only he plays more for Juventus and does a good job, Lippi will call him up. Who knows he may be Lippi's alternative RB, or a sitter on the Juve bench.
