"I want to play in Japan again because they never give me a car in Italy," the 30-year-old number-10 quipped.
I guess that he could get a FIAT if he really insisted on it... :D

But who wants a FIAT these days anyways?

On the other hand it's good for DP to keep playing, keep scoring, and have some motivation even if it is in the shape of Nissan's. I really hope his level will go up for next season.

Another overwhelming adventure is over: when the team’s plane landed at Caselle airport at about 5 pm on Wednesday afternoon, the “Juventus Japan Tour” was officially closed, after a one week tour in Japan and Hong Kong. The tour has been definitely positive and it has confirmed once again how much affection is reserved to Del Piero and his team mates in the Orient.
Now it’s time for the Bianconeri to enjoy their deserved holidays, although many of them, before leaving for their holidays, will make a stop at San Paolo Stadium in Naples to celebrate Ciro Ferrara who, on June, 9th will say farewell to football. The next meeting with Italy’s Champions is set on July, 11th, which is the start of the training camp at Salice Terme.

Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet, along with Giuseppe Sculli, were the strikers of the evening that saw Juventus win the last friendly match of Juventus Japan Tour. Here are their comments:

Del Piero: “F.C. Tokyo played better in the first half, deserving the lead, while it was the other way round in the second half when we deserved it. We wanted to win and we wanted to repeat it in Hong Kong too but we did not make it. When you get on the pitch you always aim at winning, even during these friendly matches at the end of the season. Our relationship with Japan is strong, with the media and the Japanese version of my web site, but I just did not expect so much anticipation and attention. I was pleasantly surprised.”

Trezeguet: “The first half was hard for us, we did better in the second half and deserved this win. I think that our opponents are a good team and they showed high level play. Plans for next year? We’ve won the Scudetto this year, next year we’ll be aiming at winning the Champions League, without certainly neglecting the national tournament.”

“The match was played at a very good tempo. Opponents caused us great trouble turning defence into attack in the first half, also because we did not know them and we played keeping the ball too long and not playing deep enough. It’s true that we had a fine chance to score with Del Piero but we were also lucky when our opponents hit the post in the final minutes of the first half. In the second half, we played like we use to, playing fast and being dangerous. A little tiredness was felt but in the end our experience and class made the difference.”

He was asked to name the players he liked the most: “Within the three matches of the tour – he said – Kapo did very well, he had been unlucky all through the season due to injuries. I’m very happy for him.” Lastly, he commented on the tour in Asia: “It’s been a very positive experience, Japanese teams are at a very good level and we’ve been glad to meet them. As far as we’re concerned we won two matches in Tokyo and the one in Hong Kong was drawn then lost to penalties, when we were about to win. So I’d say that it’s been really good.”
