You're not gonna believe this story...
I'm a huge Leeds United fan, as some people here might have picked up, and, the club was on a pre-season tour in Sweden - in Kungsbacka, Gothenburgh, to be exact, in the summer of 2001, at the time Bridget Jones was playing in theatres..
I got to meet all of the staff and the players because the fans were allowed to chill out at the training sessions and autographs and conversations and stuff like that were not a problem at all...
I got to make acquaintances with people like Lee Bowyer, Robbie Keane, Nigel Martyn, Lucas Radebe, Rio Ferdinand, Alan Smith, Dominic Matteo, Eirik Bakke etc.
I went to see Bridget Jones - in a theatre in Sweden - with DAVID O'LEARY and EDDIE GRAY (former player of the 60's and 70's) - who responded after the movie when I asked them what they thought: "It was OK..."
So now I will pass the message on to you, DelPierino: "It was OK..."
Point of all this: Bridget Jones' Diary will forever be a huge memory for me
