The 5th Strasbourg European Film Forum

Films at the Forum

One of the highlights of this year's festival is the European Selection, presenting fifteen films, one from each of the European Union countries. This new section was initiated by the Union's French President in order to showcase films from young EU directors. A jury will select one director to receive the Prize of the French President of the European Union 2000, which brings a gernerous sum toward the film's European distribution. Strasbourg will open with the Opening Film Being Young and European in the Year 2000/Avoir 20 ans en l'An 2000 en Europe

You're most welcome! It's good to see Europe has talent as well - something we tend to forget too quickly in the shadow of powerhouse Hollywood...

    denco,
I've made several short films and as such have nothing but respect for all directors......
I may comment on badly directed individual films but I wouldnt say any particular director was bad... jus my view!!
