:agree: You heard his album with Damian Marley?
That was pretty disappointing. Then again, next to Illmatic, anything is disappointing.

This song is one of the greatest ever in my opinion.

Nas - One Mic

'Jesus died at age 33, there's thirty-three shots
from twin glocks there's sixteen apiece, that's thirty-two
Which means, one of my guns was holdin 17
Twenty-seven hit your crew, six went into you
Everybody gotta die sometime; hope your funeral
never gets shot up, bullets tear through the innocent
Nothin is fair, niggaz roll up, shootin from wheelchairs
My heart is racin, tastin revenge in the air
I let the shit slide for too many years, too many times
Now I'm strapped with a couple of macs, too many nines
If y'all niggaz really wit me get busy load up the semis
Do more than just hold it explode the clip until you empty
There's nothin in our way - they bust, we bust, they rust, we rust
Led flyin, feel it? I feel it in my gut
THAT WE TAKE THESE BITCHES TO WAR, LIE 'EM DOWN
CAUSE WE STRONGER NOW MY NIGGA THE TIME IS NOW!!'

Ah, Debeb e Andy, you have to realize with ALL of Lupe's newer material is handpicked by Atlantic. If the fan's didn't protest outside Atlantic last year there probably wouldn't even be an album. Atlantic choose all the singles, tracks, collaborations. Too bad, to be honest. I'm sure we would've got something more classic Lu if he was putting together his own album. But, having said that Atlantic don't think that would sell so we won't ever get to hear these tracks.

Nigga, what? You ain't even seen me in my prime
Eatin' baby brains, baby veins, baby spines
I know they be cryin' when I'm cuttin' off the neck
I'm peelin' off the skin for some bacon-fried croquettes
Baby villain spine, that baby-killin' mind
A fifth-pound of gin cause I know I'm doin' time
So catch me now before I do my next crime
My kids' gotta eat, somebody's baby's on the line, nigga

    Nas - Ether (Jay-Z diss :D)

    You a fan, a phony, a fake, a pussy, a Stan
I still whip your ass, you thirty-six in a karate class
You Tae-bo hoe, tryna' work it out, you tryna' get brolic?
Ask me if I'm tryna' kick knowledge
Nah, I'm tryna' kick the shit you need to learn though
That ether, that shit that make your soul burn slow
Is he Dame Diddy, Dame Daddy or Dame Dummy?
Oh, I get it, you Biggie and he's Puffy
Rockefeller died of AIDS, that was the end of his chapter
And that's the guy y'all chose to name your company after?
Put it together, I rock hoes, y'all rock fellas
And now y'all try to take my spot, fellas?
Philly's hot rock fellas, put you in a dry spot, fellas
In a pine box with nine shots from my glock, fellas
Foxy got you hot 'cause you kept your face in her puss
What you think, you getting girls now 'cause of your looks?

Damn, so many to choose from. Just gonna drop whatever it is I'm listening to right now...

"I philosophize about Glocks and keys, niggas call me young black Socrates" - Pusha T

"I’ve rocked it from the shottas to the soccer moms
Try to stop what’s going on
You’ll see the back of my hand like the tops of palms
I’m balling like the tops of pawns
Circle of influence getting bigger like the ripples on the tops of ponds
Sure-footed and War Headed like the tops of bombs"

Back like I was locked up, putting in work
Burning through books like Nazis in a Catholic church
I’m cursed like Cain when he murdered his brother
Cut your face off and wear it while I’m fucking your mother
I am Mars Ultor, the avenger, the God of war
And if you don’t believe in me, I doubt you believe in God at all
I breathe smokeless fire, the Jinn type,
That’ll make you hate the way Allah made you to live life
Like Hindu niggas that be bleaching their skin white,
Other people’s teeth in my hands after a fist fight
I was born with a sixth sense and a swift right,
Skinned werewolves and raped demons at midnight,
Sell your kids into slavery after we murder you
Or sacrifice them in the same fire we burning you
Barbarian funeral nigga, you wanna know
Damn the river, bury me, and let the water flow

i don't know if it's the lyrics or Immortal Technique's delivery, but it sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it :D

Saaaay what? Distant Relatives was disapointing? Maaaaaaan! That was one of my favourite albums! Nas wasn't too sharp, but Damian just destroyed every track, and the beats where niiiiiice! The album was NIIIICE! I heard there might be a #2.

OK, just went through all 12 pages and I think we need some more Celph Titled and Rugged Man up in here. Picked out a couple of my personal favourites and attached a line or two from it that I found to be the illest. Both these guys are excellent in their own way: If you like punchline rap then Celph is the best out there and it's not even close imo. If you're looking for crazy flows, clever rhymes and record label disses then Rugged Man is the way to go, such a great talent this guy.

Celph Titled - Primo's four course meal

    "I rapid fire bustin sprayment
When I was a baby my pacifier was a grenade pin
And yes I'm from tampa, no I'm not a buccaneer
but I'll be buckin near your main arteries ya fuckin queer"

    Celph Titled - Step Correctly

"I’m from the gun shine state so my gun must shine,
I’m trying to impregnate Beyonce’s sister, just one more time
So, take a toke of this, you won’t be breathing well
I’m all about biscuits and trees, like a Keibler Elf"

Celph Titled & Apathy - Stop what ya' doin

"I cast a pyramid hex, to leave you dickheads covered in blood like period sex"

Block Mcloud, Celph Titled and Rugged Man - Crazy Man (straitjacket remix)

"Doctors suggest I am a psycho, chainsaw on my gun like a Gears of War rifle"

"At Central Park I’m stealing purses and I’m robbing the joggers
They wanna lock us, I’m raping the nurses and murdering the doctors, c’mon"

    R.A. the Rugged Man - 3 kings

"attract pain and learn from the best, murderin' burnin' the rest
we aint no GQ rappers like pharrel or kanye west"

Styles will change. They say change is dang-erous
As a King standing on the terrace
While his partner pointing up at the riflemen
Coward shooter, never know when your life will end
Then live like there ain't no 'morrow
And if one come then this the motto
Now I put message in bottle
You go to the nearest beach and open your car door
And walk to the place where the sea meets the land
Yeah, it's easier to run the street than walk in the sand
Hey, I'm talking young man. As if chalk in my hand
I will take y'all little ass to school
It's cool when the kids call me Sunny, the hood calls me Stacks
The B's call me honey, Hollywood calls me back
Crack and I have a lot in common
We both come up in the 80's and we keep that bass pumping
    That's a nega-tive comparison, embarrassing
Unfortunate that if you come up fortunate the streets consider you lame
Ha, I thought the name of the game was to have a better life
    I guess it ain't. What a shame
I don't slang. Never slung but I'm one with the slum
That has a name well fitting, plenty cheese getting
No wonder why they call it the trap, so watch your tail
And I'm not kidding, the rats and mice will give advice
They say, "you can paint and draw, get out of here
Go show them that we're more than slanging raw."
That's when I broke into my Big Rube impression
And I tried to enlighten but that night I learned a lesson
That the morals that you think you got go out the window
When all the other kids are fresh and they got new Nintendo Wiis
And your child is down on her knees praying hard up to God
    For a Whopper with cheese
Do you B) hit the street hard with a flair
Or do you A) go to school for heating and air?
Dare make an honest living or make a crooked killing
Or do a bit of both until you're holding on a million?
Brilliant. You got one foot in, one foot out
You put your left foot back in and then you shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey til you turn your life around
    That's what it's all about, 3000 out
    - André 3000

    This whole verse. :delpiero:

Royal flush, nice. :D another Outkast Fav of mines "Millennium

Me and everything around me, is unstable like Chernobyl
Ready to go at any moment, jumpin like a pogo stick
I never lived up to my expectations, so I accept the patience
Expect the worse but now I'm pacin
Back and forth, inside, I'm melting like water on wicked bitches
A monster truck done came and ran over my picket fences
I had the best of life in my clinches but monkey wrenches was thrown
Like chairs kings sit on, my prayers seem to long
I fall asleep before the endin, don't even get to say Amen
I hope He understand I be on bended knees
At times, I think I'm crazy, so I say forget it
Or maybe it's the devil infiltrating and like Riddick...Bowe
I've been fighting this since them fetus days
I count from one to twenty, when I'm through, repeat the phrase
It's just a phase, it's gon all pass, but that gets old too
I'm weakening like a deacon doin dirt
What am I supposed to do?
