is there much difference between the 2 ?

For instance both my local samoan and tahitian restraunts sell poisson cru, and po'e and many other dishes are very similar

I favorite cuisine is Thai and Chinese, anything from Curry Chicken to General Tso's.

Interesting. I never associated poisson cru with Samoan food. But I can see why there would be crossover. You see that with Polish and Lithuanian food, for example, or Mexican with Guatemalan, Pakistani with North Indian or even a little Nepalese, Burmese with Thai and Cambodian, etc.

If anything, I've found Tahitian food a little more delicate (and more French influences) with Samoan more hearty.

Now I am definitely getting hungry.

And I've had cavallo in Italy (those who know what it is don't think it's any big deal), kangaroo in Australia (IMO, it's excellent), etc. But I won't touch Scottish haggis.
