Juve confident on appeal

Juventus are confident that their appeal against relegation to Serie B will be successful.

As well as dropping down to the second flight of Italian football, The Bianconeri will start next season with a massive 30-point deduction due to their involvement in the match-fixing scandal.

Defence lawyer Cesare Zacone has told the appeals court that the punishment is too severe, and club president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli is hopeful of escaping with a lighter sentence.

It is his view that Juve should be handed either relegation or a point penalty, but not both.

"There is realistic sense of confidence," said Gigli. "We have the conviction that our lawyer Cesare Zaccone used the right defensive line.

"Staying in Serie A with a deduction would not be bad, but also to start in Serie A without a deduction would be good too.
"Anyway, we will accept any type of penalisation due to the fact it will arrive from sport justice, even if we are considering the possibility of appealing to civil law and to Lazio's regional court."

The verdicts for all four appealing clubs - Juve, Fiorentina, Lazio and Milan -are expected to be delivered on Tuesday.

Fuck Is there even a chance we'll stay in A, Just when we sold most of are stars.

If we stay ar serie a we really screwd selling 4 of our stars.
But to be realistic that will never happen i belive the the 30 point deduction will be smaller or it will be canceled.

Its obvious that Juve dont really expect to remain in Serie A, if they did, they wouldnt have sold all the stars would they?

The appeal sentence is expected tomorrow, no idea if in the morning or evening.

As much as i love juve i aslo think that juve will not get back to Seria A! The only positive thing that can come out of this appeal is that instead of -30 points we will have -15 or 0!!! but that is also a big thing cause it means that juve will get back to seria A the next season and be able to kick Milan's an Inter's ass!!!
