the thing i didnt like about the juve appeal is that the lawyers focused on that juve was treated defferantly from other teams and that juve have lost alot of money. they demand reconsideration because of that plus that we are a huge part of the italian football history.

IMO tthis is B.S. .... we must attack the FIGC judgment and prove that there was no illigal conduct. otherwise if we dont deny the guilt all arguments all useless

we shouldnt ask for fairness when we werent fair to others

we have to prove that we were as fair as any club then demand the fair punishment if any
I'm pretty sure that will be part of the argument...our lawyers are top notch

The thing is Zamparini quit about 12 times in the past 12 years saying the decision is irrevocable and always came back. He's the Ric Flair of football. :D

Looking down the road . . . if we were to sue FIFA or UEFA in the European Courts, in order to be allowed to compete in CL, we will surely win. It seems that all of the FIFA/UEFA rules are in violation of EU laws concerning labor, monopolies, and free trade.

Zampa isn't that bad. Sure he's been an ass as Palermo president, but he was first one to come out and say Galliani and Carrera must step down, as well as handing in his own resignation as FIGC vice president. Zampa was probably the only guy at FIGC who wasn't a complete crook.

FIGC REPLIES TO FIFA
REGARDING JUVENTUS
TO FIFA: "WE WILL APPLY
THE SPORTS RULES"
Rome 23/08/2006

The FIGC is closely following up on the "Juventus case" and is ready to apply its rules if the club appeals to the ordinary magistracy of the Court of Appeals of Lazio: this is the meaning of the letter that the Federcalcio sent today as a reply to FIFA requesting to be updated on the situation that has resulted after conciliation failed with CONI.
The note reads that the FIGC is in line with the international Federation and indicates that the Juventus club has not yet formally appealed to the TAR (court of Appeals) and that the FIGC will not hesitate to start up the foreseen disciplinary procedures.

Juventus' appeal to civil court to be heard Sept.1
Posted: Friday Aug 25, 2006 1:18 PM

MILAN, Italy (AP) -Juventus' appeal to a civil court of its sentence in the match-fixing scandal is to be heard Sept. 1.

Juventus formally notified the court Thursday of its intent to appeal a July 25 sports tribunal ruling that stripped the Turin powerhouse of its last two Serie A titles and relegated the club to the second division with a 17-point penalty.
Juventus is seeking up to $166.8 million in damages from the Italian soccer federation, the news agency ANSA said Friday. On its Web site, the club denied it is seeking damages.

FIFA on Wednesday threatened to suspend World Cup champion Italy and all Italian clubs from international competition should Juventus appeal to a civil court. The Italian federation said it would take further disciplinary action against the team if it appealed sanctions levied by a sports court.

"FIFA's position has not changed,'' spokesman Nicholas Maingot said Friday. "For the time being, we are still closely looking at this case.''

Juventus has said that recourse to a civil court was unavoidable due to the "unjustified'' severity of the sanctions and a "lack of fair treatment'' when compared to the other clubs.

Four other Italian clubs involved in the match-fixing scandal received points penalties, but were not demoted.

FIFA said that forcing a decision before a civil court would interfere with the autonomy of the soccer world and undermine the sport's arbitration system.

Any possible suspension would be indefinite and could stop Italy from taking part in qualifying for the 2008 European Championship.

the FIGC is face hard task. it's either they push things to the civil court and italy will be prevented from playing international soccer which will resualt in cuaseing the whole FIGC to resign. or thr forget about everything and put Juve back to Serie A but will lose it reliability and finally the will resign :D . so it seems that we are going to spank the FIGC :D
