    Well I guess depends on the way you like to play. I like sniping my targets from far away and in general I make my characters as sharpshooters, perception is maxed out. There's vats for close combat and rarely there are more than 3 targets running at me, so the game is rather easy at this point. Killed a deathclaw with 2 shots moments ago :lol:

    Agreed, but for example that area with the sattelite dishes, i find it hard to manually find the supermutants at night, because the scope is that far zoomed in. it would be nice if we could adjust the soom from the "medium" to "long" on the long scopes.

    My character is all out glasscannon. Gaus rifle/two shot hunter rifle for long range, .308 combat rifle for medium range (excellent vats+excellent scope), explosive shotgun for close quarters (insane vats and insane "hip fire")

    i should replace that .308 rifle with a plasma rifle tho, but i'm waiting for a good drop since i just got lvl 1 science and gun nut, and i cant mod them.

    Btw, thanks for pointing out perception, i should really really improve that, i cant believe i've missed it for 41 levels and its still at "4"
    S=4
    P=4
    E=4
    C=6
    I=7
    A=8
    L=9

    They should have added a feature of manually adjusting the scope. At times I instinctively use mmb, but to no avail. :D

    Currently level 42 and maxed out science, armorer and gun nut, so I can mod every weapon with the best parts. Modded plasma rifle and will give it a go tomorrow night.

    Struggling to find large quantites of fibberglass though (need it for armor). For scavenging around I really dont have much time, rather use vendors.

    I really need to start modding weapons
    Do you ?

    You can drop weapons with mods you cannot make yourself. When you make a lesser mod, the superior one stays in your inventory. You do not need a perk to "attach" a mod that you cant make yourself

    Example.

    My shotgun has an "advanced receiver". I dont have the perk to make it. I dropped a weapon that had it. I crafted the regular receiver, and then "attached" the advanced one to the shotgun i used.

    Scavenging brings you quite far.

    It seems rather rate. But junk vendors usually got something that has fiberglass

    Fair enough. I'll look into. It.
    I maxed out my shotgun with all high level mods, despite not having the perk for any one of them :D
    Same with two shot hunter rifle and my combat rifle. Both got the .308 receiver for example, wich came from a weapon i dropped.

    Currently looking for zones where i can drop modded plasma weapons

    Do any of you provide the settlers with ammo or weapons to defend themselves with? They only have maybe 15 bullets at most in their inventory when you go to trade with them.

    Really annoying this :agree:

    What's worse is that some areas are designated for brahmin and caravaners so once you've built housing there you find them stuck inside the buildings and settlers will complain about not having any beds
    I built a beach house in Nordhagen Beach on a raised platform. When I fast travelled back to it later I ended up underneath the house and couldn't get past the supports :D I had to go into workshop mode and could just about place a FT point on the beach so I could spawn in a decent spot.

    Yes I know I could have FTed out and then walked back to do this but that is less fun.

    Anybody who has been to and cleared Croup Manor what's the deal with that guy who looks like a super mutant with Down's standing in the corner? He has no dialogue and doesn't count as a settler.

    Yeah but the ammo is a problem.

    Gave up entirely on settlements for the time being. Way to buggy and time consuming. Currently looking for bubbleheads (only four left) and padding my stats.

    I literally don't provide my settlers with shit. They all seem to be able to defend themselves. I also don't bother making guard posts, just a fuck load of turrets. I've pretty much half arsed every settlement bar the the ones I had to put recruitment beacons in. Cbf with the rest of them. I give them enough food, water and defence and let them deal with it. :D

    2 store concrete wall around it, with just 1 entrance and on each side a one store block inwards
    Big gate in the entrance
    2 laser turrets+ one heavy machinegun on each of the inward blocks
    will add missle turrets if i ever get the perks on top of the wall
    will add 2 shotgun turrets just behind the gate cause supermutants like to storm in
    2 small guard posts left and right
    enough food for 20+ peasant fucks
    40 water supply via a big purifyer if i can put one, 20 supply with the waterpumps otherwise
    radio beacon
    2-3 story building for 20 beds and some accomodation
    enough electricity to run all the stuff
    2 junk stations
    when enough peasant fucks, a general vendor

    I farm everything, except the concrete because its the only way to put a fucking halfdecent wall that looks awesome as fuck, and pushes past the issue of height difference of the terrain as you can select the height.

    Also fuck aluminium

    Farm quincy ruins and that nearby factory. It has those giddy up horses. Like a metric crapton of those. Take everything, bring to that settlement that starts with a "w" on the bottom right side.

    Dont forget to not get rekt by the assaultron domminators. There are two.

    Save 2 crits. Enter the area. Try to get high ground immediatly, and look for the red charging light and get the fuck behind cover or you get onerekt. Then blow its face up with your mandatory legendary gaus rifle and two crits.

    Aluminum is easy to get. Just pick up the aluminum cans that are literally everywhere and you get two for each. Also the alarm clocks (GOLD MINES RIGHT THERE) and the tv/surgical trays have a lot too.

    Now you know what's a pain in the ass to get compared with the amount you use for EVERYTHING? Wood.

    I've been trying to avoid buying materials, but I guess I have to at this point then. Having to find and carry around 5 3 pound brooms to build one square of flooring is a bit ridiculous.
