And yet he scored more than most of em. In fact despite Conte not rating him, Conte has called on him as Vucinic's sub when playing the 3511, and he's overtaken Matri in game time as the season wore on into crucial stages. Should give you a fair indication of how Conte values his work.

Quag's game time has more to do with Alessio incident, he got benched for a month or so after that and had to start that climb in pecking order all over again. If not for that, he'd definitely have more minutes that Matri and possibly Gio. He has himself to blame for that, but saying Conte doesn't rate him is silly, of course he does, he wouldn't have given him a season after that injury to recover if he didn't trust in Fabio.

Then it really is testament to his ability, if what you say is true, he worked his way back the pecking order to perhaps even overtake Gio in Conte's preferences toward the end of season. Though next season, him and Matri may go, depending on who comes.

I think that was more about zero sell value and interest from other teams. When everyone is fit he is 3 or 4 choice in a pack of mediocre attackers. The sensible thing to do is sell and bring more quality.

Inter, Aston Villa, Wolfsburg, Roma, Milan, Zenit, Arsenal. Just some of the club he has been linked with over the season. Including the January mercato, when Wolfsburg came back with a 10m offer. All the strikers have been fit after Gio's recovery from injury, but Quag has been coming on for Vucinic. He actually benched Gio till the Alessio incident, so don't know what you're talking about.
