Quagliagol will always be able to score these goals but he must use this confidence to keep them up.

Rumors sayin we'll play 3-5-1-1 against Bayern - leaving Vucinic the lone striker, but what about Eta Beta then? He's INFORM (Fifa!)

Yeah using Quag as lone striker is a good idea imo. He's quite complete player so he could play this role but he'll probably start on the bench if Vucinic makes it.

Who's playing behind Vucinic there?

Vucinic
Marchisio
Asamoah Pogba Pirlo Vidal Lichsteiner
Chiellini Bonucci Barzagli
Buffon

Quags could play as lone striker, yes, but I really doubt he'll get the chance over Mirko (who's sort of rested over the Inter match)... But I dont think we'll have enough scoring attempts without an additional striker

Becoming? He already IS, bitch!
Haha! :D

don't think we saw a better performance from a Juventus striker all season than Quag vs. Inter, did absolutely everything.
Just goes to show his capabilities when given enough game time, you could see more such performances. Off the limited game time Quag has gotten, I think he has been the game changing player on at least three if not more occasions. Off the top of my mind, Inter, Chievo, Chelsea. And that's just this season. Not even going into his form pre-injury. How this guy doesn't get more game time is beyond me. When you think that he has played a mere 1000 minutes this season and made such a difference you can't help but wonder that Conte is missing a trick here.

He is by no means a player of the caliber we need upfront. Lots of people here forgot what its like for strikers to deliver MOM world class performances week in week out. He is more of a game changer coming from the bench than Matri though. Both should be on the market and the one that gets a higher bid should go. Thats assuming we'd buy a really good striker for the starter role instead of rotating mediocre players.
How do you know he's not the calibre we need?! Does he play enough to warrant that judgement? It's fair to assume that if he played 2500 minutes like Gio has and doesn't rack up the numbers but to call out a bench player for lack of calibre when he's putting in the shift unlike any other player on this team, you are mistaken. And if you wanna sell him or Matri for that matter, then you're doing so just because their reputations aren't as well documented, when clearly their more illustrious counterparts have done nothing to warrant a stay either. You will not find better squad players than Quag or Matri in all of Europe, let alone Italy. They sit, never complain and do their in efficiently. If you think we can sell them and replace them with the likes of Suarez, Samchez, Jojo, and that Vucinic and Gio will sit on the bench as quietly, you're mistaken.

Always wanted to see Marchisio up front. He might be a great midfielder but he has everything it takes to be a complete striker IMO.

I've watched him play for the Azzuri, Udinese and Napoli too you know. he was never a world beater and he isn't going to suddenly transform into a world class player at this age. He is a squad player like you said and rotating our mediocre strikers squeezed out an average of 10 goals for each but we definitely do need a step up in attack we need a starter next to Llorente. I never said the others are any better than he is they are all replaceable. Add Giovinco to the transfer list next to Quag and Matri and sell one of the 3 (again assuming we will replace him with a top player) based on the best deal we get out of the three.

We need a WC starter to be as good as the European top guns and that has to come at the expense of one of our current equally-mediocre and moody strikers. Conte would have started Quags had he seen in him the qualities that gurantee him a staring spot.
