Thats funny. Quag was the striker most linked to a lot of teams in both mercatos, and yet Conte didn't let go. Doesn't look like a sign of a guy not rating a player. Also! why did he get a chance before scoring against Chelsea, or that hat trick against Pescara?! Conte honestly doesmt rate any of his strikers if you ask me. Matri himself, only started getting any little game time post December, before which Quag was clearly the preferred striker. Conte only seems to rate Vucinic and Giovinco, and we've all seen how his rated players are faring in attack. For me, I don't care how the coach thinks about a player or is a fan or not, it is very important that the effective players play and the ineffective ones dont. We are not going unbeaten this season, and nor are we in a commanding lead up front. Would be a good time for Conte (if he does indeed not like a players game) to be more flexible in his choices.

While i agree with this.. we also need to take something in account, and that is his lack of playing time in coparison with his teammates, taking in consideration his skill. Some people in this forum do not rate him highly... but IMO, with all his flaws in game... he is a great striker to have and to use. But heres the thing... after the Angelo Alessio incident... this guy has gone rock bottom in the pecking order. Also, im almost certain that this incident alone is not the only cause of his fall.

What i think is that Conte and the BoD have decided that he is a poisonous influence in the team... mainly for his aggresive and annoying attitude, which was exposed in that Alessio incident, and is shown time after time in game, where the most common mitstakes from his teammates anger him, and even when he is to blame for a missing ball or a missing pass, he looks for someone to blame and yell anyways. Is annoying behaviour.

SUmmary, we all know here that one of Matri or quags will be sold this upcoming mercato, and IMO, Conte will give the chance to Matri, because of his work ethic and the effort he is putting in to get out of his slump. He is doing it silently and without complaints. On the other hand... i think Conte lost the confidence he had on Quags after some episodes... and if we are aware of Quags anthics in game... im pretty sure everyone is, including Conte who also checks his behaviour in training. I think this will be the deciding factor, and is a sham because i rate quags.

Quag is shit, he just sucks. Yeah he scores few goals here and there but other than that he just sucks. Whenever gets the ball he just blasts the ball, doesnt matter the distance, 20m, 30m, 40m, even 50 meters sometimes. He almost never looks for a key pass or assist. He doesn't help the teammates. And the masterpiece when he doesn't score his contribution to the team is 0.

Dat back heel flick to Asamoah vs Pescara?
Please, this is a very one-eyed view of Quags, sure he is a bit trigger happy, no doubt (and unlike most of our strikers, at least he hits the target with the greatest frequency). When he does play, and he has confidence he spreads the play quite nicely with some intelligent lofted passes out to wide players, I've seen him do it in several matches. To claim he just gets possession and shoots without so much as a second thought it a complete nonsense, and a dishonest appraisal.

You should look at some of the team training photos. Some in game photos and some off the bench, you can tell how involved a player is with the team, his teammates and how they get along. Vucinic and Licht talk and yell all the time. But I've never seem anyone here, question that. The Alessio incident could've happened to anyone and if it was that severe and Conte being the no-nonsense type of leader that he is, would've transfer listed Quag in Jan itself, and despite some offers we didn't sell. It's pretty clear that we'd get more for him in Jan than later in the summer. We still didn't sell. If he was annoying and thinks no end of himself, and is are so called 5th striker in Conte's eyes, then why oh why are we tolerating all this instead of making a cool 7-10m while we can? It's something to think about I guess.

Yeh i know.. he seems to be the mos funny guy on the bench.. but when he gets into the game he suddenly transforms. I dont know if it could be the pressure to perform maybe?

The sad thing, is that in the end... he is being TOTALLY ignored by CONTE... why? i have no diea.. but he is totally underused..and we have like too many first team strikers,.

i dont know what they are planning to do with him, sincerely.
