Thank you friend. I love how much patience Quag has shown despite the odds being against him after the injury. While most here seemed not to rate him, he has always been the kind of lethal player that's only ever needed continuity more than anything else. And to be honest, its about time his patience was rewarded with a run of 3-5 games. He's only just hitting his stride now. Would be wrong to bench him.

I respect your opinion and undying support for Quags, I have the same with Vucinic. But Quagliarella has been the recepient of much consistent play time throughout his career and never before has he performed like this. I'm very happy that he is doing so and should most definitely start every game as long as this keeps up, but don't make it out so it looks like it was blatantly obvious he'd have 1 goal / 55 min if he were just given time . It's overperformance rather a natural state of things.

At no point did I say he's a 1 goal/55 min striker. What I was alluding to, was how people said he was shit and finished, and you know you were one among them, but he was always a better striker than that. And to be very honest with you, Quag has never been at a big club to really classify his career as being a top player or otherwise. But if you remember, he was a freak in his first season with us, and lot of people put it down to him being in the form of his life, just like you're calling things right now.

Give him continuity. He in my books would be better then the 12-13 goal striker his career suggests him to be. His vision, awareness of goal, instinct, imagination blended with a fair physicality make him a very unique kind of striker.

You're right. I think its his demeanour. Kinda like a guy whose earned things the hard way. And that's probably what keeps him humble. I dunno, but he has a very likeable humility about him.
