I think he is indeed more suited to the supersub role.
That's ironic coz he has scored 3 out of those 4 goals as a starter. A lot of people here are judging him for his performance before the goal. Please don't forget, that he has not been given the continuity he perhaps deserves being the team's highest scoring front man. But after the goal, he found his stride and was really good. Quag may not be the best at holding up the ball, but he is a lethal player, and right now, more than anything, you can hate on him all you want, but he is the most 'effective' of all our strikers, and that should mean having some continuity.
That apart, I thought him and Bendtner were the best partnership in terms of connecting I've seen this season, and Bendtner was falling back. But if Vuficnic is starting against Inter, I'd go with Quag over Bendtner IMO.

I knew he was gonna score
You totally called it. I noticed that that live thread and acknowledged it also.

I thought he played well. As I said in the Bendtner thread, it was the first time this season the strikers have looked like a partnership. If Vucinic is fit, I'd start him and Quagliarella against Inter.
Agree. Even in the first half, when he wasn't playing as well as people thought, he still had two or three shots on goal. That shows he's always looking for goal. Would complement Vucinic well against Inter IMO. But more importantly, you should give a player like this, who seems to score against the odds without continuity, a chance to find his feet, with a run of 4-5 games. A confident Quagliarella can be a devastating player I feel. Right now, him and Matri are always playing with a mental block, that they could be the first to be substituted and they're scared of making mistakes. Look at how freely Bendtner played. Without that fear, because he's not accustomed to Conte's ways yet. That's the secret for a striker to do well. To play freely. To achieve that, you've got to show faith in a player or combination for a stretch of games. It will go a long way in fixing our problems in attack.
