Doubt it.
Matri played better (though he played with a stamina advantage) but I agree that the mixed pairings really got our forwards in a very unstable form.

I think Matri's movement was much better, but Quag added more to the team's play. That said, you're never going to have either doing well, stopping and starting them. Choose a pairing and stick with it no matter what. Why do you think Gio has grown despite his abysmal start to the season? He's been given continuity. Now next game, Quag and Matri will be benched again and called on in the last 15 mins next game. You can't produce form like this.
stupied to field quag and gio. today gio was doing his own thing. finding space and running at the opposition. somewhat succsessfull at that, but also selfish and making wrong decitions. not easy to be playing alongside such a selfish player. quag was horrific though, giving the ball away in dangerous positions, gifting napoli counterattacks.
Not at all. Its not Gio's fault, but you may have noticed both Quag and Matri were isolated. A large part of this is because a forward like Gio doesn't play off his striker, but instead runs with the ball and takes on the d. That's just how his game is, and that means anyone playing last man to him will have to drop deeper to get into the game. I think Gio ran his socks off last night, but like I said, I think he needs to improve his decision making for the benefit of the team, and try to distribute the ball a bit more, like Vucinic does - perhaps why the CFs do better with him.

Fabio Quagliarella has hinted at a possible move away from Juventus by confirming he would like to be coached by Zdenek Zeman.
Rumours had circulated that a possible transfer switch between Roma's PabloOsvaldo and the Bianconeri striker could come to fruition in January.
And the 29-year-old has added fuel to the speculation by admitting today that he admires the Czech tactician.
“I have nothing against Zeman,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “His teams always play a nice, offensive game.
“I'd like to be coached by him in the future.”
Quagliarella has only played a bit-part in the Turin side's success recently, starting just 10 League games in 14 months.

The thing is.... Marotta is practically forced to make a big buy in january or By the new mercato.... and one of matri or him will be sold... because i doubt we will keep bendner.
Everyone knows that for this team to compete in the CL, we need a drogba/van persie/C.Ronaldo/Ibra/Cavani type of striker who can win games on his own.
That is the missing puzzle and im pretty sure Marotta will do his best to get one next time, even when he is being evasive by saying that "the team" is our top signing.
If someone of that Calibre arrives...Matri quags and even giovinco will have to worry, and the first 2 will for surely be forgotten on the bench.
