You could see how bad he wanted to score. Had some great exchanges with Pirlo and his movement as always was very involved and intelligent. This guy can take the team to an even higher level if given a fair shot. Honestly, I think he's the most like Ale after Ale, not just skill and class but temperament, humility and that special team player mentality.

Now you're pushing it :D

Quag is a good player no doubt about that. But just like Vucinic, his inconsistency doesn't allow him to be a world class player.

Inconsistency? In fact from what we saw off him the last season, what makes him perhaps a better all round choice than Vucinic is his consistency. His level of involvement even off the ball is something Vucinic doesn't have. I'd say Quag is a fairly consistent player. He's not been at the biggest teams in the world so we haven't been able to give him a fair yardstick. But I think his time at Juventus perhaps coincided with the form of his life, but that seemed to be good enough by most standards.

I'm a Mirko fanboy, but the Quag from last season definitely was awesome. I'd love to see that player again.
