He was moving across to cover the goal, and Quag cleverly put it back across the side he came from. A keeper isn't really expecting to have to get into a shot saving positions when his midfielder is supposed to be holding onto or passing the ball 30 yards out.

Most players dont get this many youtube moments in their career as Quag in just one season. 8-9 of his 13 goals in this video were youtube moments, especially that one from 40 meters.

Is 10.5 million the agreed fee (over three years), should we decide to sign him?
That would be some serious business on Marotta's part.

I agree that that wouldnt be too much for him. I dont think he will ever be world class, but IMO he's a fantastic cover if we get new strikers, he can be partner both to a more technical player (eg Alex) and a stronger striker (like Iaq, or the player formerly known as a striker Amauri).

So he can play both the positions in attack, and for 10.5 mil you'd be difficult to find a better player.

EDIT: Did we already pay 5 mil € or less? Anything up to 12-13 mil € would be a fair deal IMO.

I don't think it's really that good, if we decide to let him go we lose 5 Million
Matter of perspective. For that 5m loan fee we got his services for a year (and the goals, of course). Certainly beats spending 15m initially and getting a dud of a striker. At least this way, if we decide to make it permanent for the further 10m, he's acclimatized and we know he can deliver.

@Zlatan, yeah the loan fee was 4.5m euros or thereabout.
