Official: Quagliarella to Juve
Friday 27 August, 2010
Juventus have officially signed striker Fabio Quagliarella from Napoli.

The Bianconeri will pay Napoli €4.5m up front for a loan deal. Then there will be the chance to buy the player outright at the end of the season for €10.5m.

After undergoing the medical in Turin, the striker put pen to paper on his contract with the Old Lady. He will earn €2m per season.

Quagliarella was welcomed by President Andrea Agnelli and Beppe Marotta. Gigi Del Neri also joined them at the club’s offices.

Few Napoli fans were waiting for Quagliarella outside the offices to wave him goodbye.

The Azzurri player will be unveiled to the Press Tomorrow and should make a sensational debut on Sunday against Bari.

Del Neri will be missing David Trezeguet, who is about to join Hercules, as well as injured Amauri and Vincenzo Iaquinta.

So this Quagliarella is Diego replacement:sergio:

Again loan deal:tdown: .

We all hope that Juve succeed this season. But if they really do,there will be one fact, there will be no mercato next summer cos we will spend the whole budget on Quagliarella,Motta,Pepe n Aquiliani(who are all likely goining to be starters) to sign them permenantly.

Adding to that we may also sign Capdevilla on loan :sergio:

next summer we might close heir deals and get some other loans...their payments are not to be paid all next summer but after that too...honestly, i was expecting to see better names...im neither dissatisfied nor satisfied...ill keep my "whore" mouth shot at least till the end of december...let's see where will this ship reach...hopefully an island if not a land...hopefully consistency of a beating teams match after match, although del neri is not a character of it, as he was not like that when he was at chievo, atalanta, roma, and sampdoria...but he showed his fist during chievo times...i hope he would show his fist, as atletico is showing a fist and a middle finger to inter at the moment beaing them 2-0...which is making me feel gooooooooooooooooooooooood...
forza JUVE!!!

For the love of god people! im not happy with the departure of Diego either.......but all this talk of ''This is Diego's replacement'' really need to be put to rest. He doesnt fit into the formation we'll be using this season, thats the main factor. I love Diego and his ability but im now looking towards the team and if he doesnt fit into the system/formation then so be it. i have faith in what Del Neri will produce this season and unfortunately sacrifices has to be made, Diego being the lamb to the slaughter. Quag is not the Diego replacement......so stop using that as a excuse and stop bloody comparing, its getting boring now!

I agree, Quags isn't Diego's replacement. But, if it is felt he fits in with the system being run on the team, then so be it. Quags is getting a bad rap on here too, he gives 110% an the team will feed off of his energy. Welcome aboard

Quagliarella isn't Diego's replacement as a playmaker. A 4-4-2 is what will work for this team, if you see the players we bought: Pepe, Martinez, Krasic, etc. they all build for a 442. Quagliarella is replacing Diego because there is no room for Diego in our style of play, and I believe Quag can benefit us more in the way we play than Diego ever could.
