Why would it be bad? We NEED Vargas. Quag would only sit on the bench. Fiorentina don't want Iaquinta, Toni, Amauri or Martinez. They are both the same age as well. I'm actually backing up Marotta on this one.
And if we could end up getting Rossi, then hey, more power to Beppe.
One sign of the apocalypse down, six more to go.

Shame on me for not doing my bucket list

Vucinic is better than Quagliarella. We're in no competitions this year. Depth is not as important. If we can swap this dude who is coming off a major knee injury for an area of real need then we should do it IMO.

Depth, or the lack thereof is why we find ourselves in our current predicament. It is always important, and one season in which we've got some reasonable depth we're willing to shoot ourselves in the foot. And I wouldn't call Vucinic a better player in this set up, till I see him do what Quag did for the time he played for us.Its really unfair on the player, he deserves a chance if nothing else. These are the kind of guys we need on our team, not guys like Rossi, who find every team the best place to be.

It's not about selling Quagliarella, it's about swapping him to another team when this club could probably pay for that player and losing strong depth. I don't really care about whether the club is in 1 or 3 competitions, because it's stupid to look at just the starting eleven for strength, and it's not like we'll go the season without injuries/suspensions.

Everyone needs to chill, I don't think we're swapping Quag. If we're gonna swap/sell a striker, it's gonna be either Amauri or Iaquinta. Or both hopefully.

By now, I bet Iaquinta got his medical degree anyway after spending so much time with the docs, so expect him to leave us really soon or join them.

:agree: in 2000-2001 we had Del Piero, Trezeguet, Inzaghi, Kovacevic (who was awesome in the big games), Fonseca. in 2001-2002 Del Piero, Trezeguet, Amoruso, Zalayeta and Salas to replace Inzaghi and got injured in the first couple of games but we managed to win the scudetto because of the attacking depth and more important a TEAM depth.

selling a good player for another good player is stupid business.
