Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella could make a shock exit despite only joining the club on a permanent basis from Napoli this summer, Goal.com can reveal.
The Italy international is thought to have a poor relationship with his new trainer, Antonio Conte, who has moved to sign Mirko Vucinic from Roma.
Quagliarella spent last season on loan at Juventus, netting nine goals in 17 appearances for the side, before injury ended his season in January. The club nonetheless fulfilled an agreement to sign the 28-year-old on a permanent deal, and although the former Udinese and Sampdoria star has played his part in Juve's pre-season games, it seems he could be on his way out of Vinovo.
Juventus want to use the striker as a makeweight for Fiorentina's Juan Manuel Vargas, with the Peruvian considered the answer to their on-going left-wing problem.
When asked what he thought of Juve's hunt for a striker in the wake of his side's 1-0 friendly victory over Chivas, Quagliarella said: "Until January last year, we were the best attack in the league, so we are not so poor. If you sacrifice, it is not a problem, even though all the years in that position would be hard."
