Option is supposed to be around 30mln so very unlikely Genoa is going to trigger it.
That sounds as inflated as the option to buy that Southhampton put for us on Alcaraz, one that’s basically never going to happen, i honestly doubt Genoa will even agree on such a high option to buy so i expect it to likely be way less or just no option at all.

This will be good for Miretti and was overdue. I also don’t think they would have let him go if they weren’t confident about closing Koopmeiners. I don’t think it had as much to do with McKennie because they’d still only have 5 CMs, unless you wanna count an injured Adzic who’s probably more of an attacking option.

Koop (if he comes), Luiz, Locatelli, Thuram, Fagioli and Miretti was the plan. 6 midfielders for 3 spots. McKennie was out of the team and refused offers to be sold, or couldn't be sold, so he was reintegrated and Miretti loaned out.

It's only a good move if the loan is a dry or if there is a buyback.

A year too late, which completed wasted a year of his development (which you can say about a lot of non-defender players under Allegri).

I still have hope for him long term to be a useful player, but it's tough to see an obvious path any time in the near future --- and even more so if Koopmeiners signs.

Miretti is just another example of horrendous asset management and planning in recent years from whoever was running the show at the time.

Credit Giuntoli for finding a place for him and not keeping him around again to be the 6th midfielder.
