The same easy life he can get in serie C, playing for 10k a month, close to his home?

Come on, he went there for the money and it had nothing to do with helping young Arab players grow.
You guys  Why would he want to play in Serie C? I didn't say it was the only reason, he gets to live in Dubai! And of course he gets good money for it, easy decision to make really for a guy who is 36 now. He can go and live near Naples for the rest of his life until he is dead. Haters gotta hate I guess.

I don't hate him. But FFS he could do without saying that he didn't go for the money or that he wants to help those youngsters in UAE grow as players.

Yeah he is talking shit about helping the kids, but then he could have earned more elsewhere, which is why I said that he went for the easy life.

“It wasn’t an economic choice, but a lifestyle one that I discussed and decided on with my family,” he said at his presentation Press conference today.

“There isn’t the same pressure here as in the leagues I’ve played in so far in my career.
Perhaps I should have expanded my point.

Cannavaro on why he went to Dubai:

"It wasn't an economic choice...I would like to help young players to grow, giving them the right advice so they can have a brilliant future"

:seven:
But I think something is weird here though. He only gets 1 million dollar for playing over there. Now surely he could get something close to that in Serie A too. I honestly don't think its about the money if he only ends up getting 1 million for it.

It isn't, but whatever makes people feel better about the 'traitor'.

Its not about the money, but I have no idea what his motives are. Why the hell would he help the UAE kids, they are a lost cause anyway.
