Cannavaro calls ultra' truce Friday 21 August, 2009

Fabio Cannavaro says he has “made peace” with angry Juventus supporters over a pizza in a bid to stop protests disrupting their Serie A opener with Chievo.
The veteran had been subjected to insults and protests from the moment the club tried to sign him as an out of contract player from Real Madrid.

He had not been ‘forgiven’ for walking out during the Calciopoli scandal of 2006, which saw Juve demoted to Serie B, and this fringe of ultras called him a ‘traitor.’

“We talked it over and cleared the air. We made peace, the important thing is the good of the team,” Cannavaro told Sky Italia television.

It is reported in Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport that the truce was called after Canna invited ultra leaders to a pizza restaurant in the city.

They were able to talk over their issues and agree to hold off on protests during Sunday’s opening Serie A game against Chievo.
lol, Drughi boys change his mind just for piece of pizza...:sergio:
I'm just kidding guys,no offence to our mighty fan structure, but just 2 days before new season this meeting shows that's all juventini are united for one big purpose-Scudetto.:bigscarf:

can't we just forgive this guy already and focus on the league. You gotta admire him for having the guts to meet in public with these guys where he could have easily been roasted.

Lol, canna is trying hard to not get booed to hell in games.

The truth is that he is in no need to do that, not because he doesnt deserve it, but because we as juventus supporters , should support our players and booing him in games will just harm everybody and not just him.

He deserted us some seasons ago, but if he delivers i think ill be pleased.

Also, taking some fans with him to eat pizza and to talk about how he fucked it up in the past and how he wants to redeem himself deserves some cool points :D
