E va via maledicendo col sorriso l'ape maia.

I think he said something about resigning if Italy wins world CUP but im not sure if he meant only about NT?
That's true but he didn't say if he was referring to football or just international football. Don't know.

But he also said - when asked about his possible future in Juve after football - that he still wants to go on playing for quite a while. So my guess is that he was only referring to the National team.

Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro has spoken of the bitterness he felt last week when it was revealed he failed a routine drugs test.

The 36-year-old had taken the banned substance cortisone as an anti-allergen after being stung by a wasp at Juventus' training ground in Vinovo.

Juventus reported the incident as an emergency measure to Italy's medical staff but not to CONI, the Italian Olympic Committee.

The case has since been officially closed and Cannavaro exonerated, although Juventus could yet be fined for failing to alert the proper authorities.

“They really broke my b****. And if you haven't understood that well enough, I repeat, they really broke my…” Cannavaro explained in his first statement after the incident.

“I have my conscience in place. You get stung by a wasp and then find yourself in the newspapers as if you've been doping.

“When it happened it seemed to me as if it were a dream. Some newspapers and TV programmes exaggerated. It's the second time that I find myself freely in the newspapers connected with stories of this nature.”

Cannavaro is referring to footage that came to light in 2005, showing him on a drip before Parma's UEFA Cup Final against Marseille in 1999.

The substance was revealed to be Neoton, a drug and creatine phosphate, that isn't on the banned substances list.

“That time, I was stupid to allow myself to be filmed, even if the substance still isn't banned now. This time there was stupidity on Juventus' behalf, but it all seemed exaggerated to me.

“I hope that this doubt doesn't follow me beyond today. My career has been exemplary and in accordance with the rules,” Cannavaro concluded.

Erm, what did he say that makes it "too much"?

He criticized the media for totally exaggerating on both occasions, saying that the first time it was him who did something stupid but it was totally blown out of proportion and this time Juve did make a mistake but it was again blown out of proportion like hell.

Seriously, I'd like to hear your opinion.

This time there was stupidity on Juventus' behalf

They lost those papers and didn't send it on time, of course it's stupidity on Juventus' behalf. What's your point?

1.Juve maybe did a mistake since none was punished then, I don't think that was mistake, cos you pay for your mistakes.
2. It wasn't Juve who did mistake it was medical stuff, and he could have mentioned exact name of doctor who gave it to him.
3. This is my first time (for me) I hear a Juventus' player call Juventus stupid!

Doctor? He said Juventus, I assume it was our doctor, which makes it right. It was our mistake, open your eyes.

He has every right to be pissed because media always exaggerate but he has rights to be pissed at our stupid mistakes as well.

Best? No, but he does add a lot to our defense and makes it much stronger. If you don't see it then you do hate him.

If he did something terrible I'd be on his head as well, I wouldn't care for his performances but this is not the case.

if during training, Sissoko happens to tackle him and break his foot (im just assuming I don't wish that), in the media he would say it was Sissoko he wouldn't say it was Juventus, event though Momo is our player, but he would never say it was Juventus who broke his foot. so your argument goes down.

Get four facts straight. It was someone in the mailroom who did a mistake, not the medical staff.

BTW, I saw a vid of the presser and he said "Somebody in the mailroom did a mistake. But when you work mistakes can happen. What was done by the media was way worse."

true best was not the right word to use, I admit but you'd greet him for a good game! He does add to our defense true but if we had bought some other player like Mexes or any great CB we would be talking something else by now!
