Storari - 6 - Was pretty solid for the most part, although he wasn't tested much in the first.
Motta - 5 - OK going forward, got schooled by the brilliant Kienzl a few times. Sloppy defending.
Bonucci - 6.5 - Solid. Best player on the backline, or perhaps on the entire team. Made two crucial tackles in our area coming from behind on the player to save what could have amounted to a goal.
Chiellini - 5.5 - Sloppy
De Ceglie - 4 - Horrendous. Holy shit, he was bad. You were right, Alen. He can't defend worth a shit. When he's 1v1 verses an attacker he squares right up to him inviting to be nutmegged.
Pepe - 6 - He did OK, showed some hustle and pace. But he doesn't really add anything apart from that. I can see it now, "Pepe sucks"... "ohhh, but he tries sooooo hard."
Sissoko - 4 - Disaster. Gave the ball away and we still didn't gain much from his presence defensively... against a mediocre team. Actually, he shouldn't even be listed as part of the team because he's not a footballer.
Marchisio - 6 - Did some decent things, nothing more. Had to deal with Soaker mistakes.
Lanzafame - 5.5 - Tries some nice tricks that I appreciate, but doesn't pull them off much. He has talent, but unfortunately for us it might be more like the Palladingo sort of talent.
Diego - 5.5 - Was not impressed apart from the set pieces that he sent in from the flanks.
Amauri - 7 - Missed a few chances that he created out of nothing, yet was getting bitched at in the match thread. Probably still not good enough, but I'll give him a 7 just to piss off the likes of Hustini.
Martinez - 5 - Made one nice run and that was that.
Del Piero - 6 - Made a few nice free kicks and a half chance during his short time on the pitch.

But this inability to pass or possess the ball has been going on for ages now. Did we really think Del Neri would offer any change in policy towards that? I didn't. And the problem is simply made worse with destroyers and no deeper passers.
They will never learn indeed.

It's not that hard, Pepe just needs to get it to Amauri's head. He can fight off defenders.

I'm telling you we arnt convincing because I saw every single friendly we played. We did well in some i must agree, but when we faced inter we were schooled by kids. You can deny all you want judge Judy but we are not convincing until we play seria a and see how it goes when it gets to consistancy and playing proper teams.
