I think it's not concentration. It's hard to believe these players don't want to achieve anything in Europe. I think it's the pace of the game causes us problems as there's a big difference between Europe and Serie A. When the game is faster you're likely to make more mistakes.

I expected more with the squad we had under Capello. The thing is, we've always played this kind of way in Europe. What's fucking new to you guys? We've never played fast counter attacking the way the Reals or Bayerns etc..... Always patient slow build up play. Could it be mentality of Italian managers in Europe? Maybe. "Pussy approach" as we've heard here. We for years approached games in Europe with a cautious approach, sometimes even too cautious. We've always struggled with teams who play a fast style of play. Watch when the EPL teams play Italian teams (apart from Chelsea) they know we don't like it.
I'd say that 2002/03 Juve were a pretty direct side. We beat Real in the semis with good counter attacking display. Remember Trez's 1st goal, the action iirc went from Thuram, Zambrotta, Neddy and Alex, with Trezeguet making an exquisite finish; second goal form Ale with Tacchinardi making a long pass; 3rd from Nedved after Zambrotta's pass. We did play faster back in those days, but it all comes down to players and their characteristics in the end.

They way people threat Capello's team is killing me - his juventus was powerhouse, the machine, stop talking shit about that period of time, and both times we left champions league we did it against the future winner and against the future finalist, who knows how we would played the third season under Capello's control

don't get it? capello's juve was ultimately the team that powering 2006 WC finalist, for you to be okay for that juve to lose to 05 liverpool and 06 arsenal implying that pool and arse were better than 2006 WC finalists, which they didn't.... unless that is what you believe.

The same could be said for our showings in our CL group. We picked ourselves up after the 30th minute and were unlucky not to score more goals. After a while it starts to sound a bit lame to be honest. Again concentration killed us in defense and we weren't efficient enough in our final third, giving away goals and not taking our own chances. I wasn't really entertained by our performance.
No not at all. Our performances in CL were generally poor from beginning to end.
