It's amazing and unbelievable especially because we got our couch and our beppe poached last summer as well as losing our best players every season for many years in a row. The couch who left us however is now being sacked from Gladbach and the beppe is likely being relegated into 2. Bundesliga with Hertha. And the players are in No Man's Land too. And then there was the unlucky penalties elimination at the hands of Chelsea in the semis in 2019 right after eliminating inter and it felt like we would never get this far ever again, not with key players and managers leaving but we did!
Because the club managed to uphold a culture of grinta, hard work and focusing on the important things which continued to transpire to new arrivals again and again.

Which makes me so angry about the whole JJ affair since there's so much to milk out of any ever so bad squad if players just (at the risk of sounding like Cpt. Tsubasa) give their 100%, regardless of tactics or perceived squad quality or any bad mercato. Stroll 10% less every game, get 10% more points by the end of the season. Last time JJ players gave a shit about a game was probably in 2017 against Tottenham which is unacceptable and unforgiveable in their position of privilege (at the risk of sounding like a liberal california woman) but imagine any actual person who has to work for their money being so lazy and neglective as these bums.
