Roma gonna choke it still?

Ajax look kinda done.

Stupid by the ref. That could have been the decider for Roma if the ref doesn't whistle there.

Roma through

Respect. Didn't choke it away.

:fab2:

when you need plusvalenza more than anything else, and immediately spend the funds on a nobody like pellegrini. probably the weirdest deal of tici's reign, and we have plenty to choose from.
Pellegrini :lol2: we got fucked double in that deal, it's just crazy.

It's not like I'm thinking Spinazzola is a wc player but he always stands out in Roma, like in the first match. Plus we've got grandpa Sandro. I literally wish we had Spinazzola at this point, he'd make us a lot better. He played great whenever we gave him a chance, I was so shocked when we sold him. In most of the cases it'd be us snatching him from Rome, not vice versa :sergio:

Well done Roma

Semi final is their ceiling though unfortunately
they'll play united, won't they? that tie could go either way. many thought that ajax will beat them comfortably. fonseca isn't a bad coach, i don't even understand why his job isn't already safe for next season.

he made plenty of positioning mistakes in the defensive phase of the game. at that time, sandro was a much, much better defender. but anyone could see that spina had the talent to go forward like few italians on his position. very bad move to give up on him so early indeed.

The Rugani renewal(s) for me.
that's a strong contender too. what about freezing mandzukic out only months after his contract extension? khedira's 6m salary? bonucci's contract (length + wages)? paying 72m + 10m for arthur? tek's 6,5m salary? letting romero go for chips? galactico wages for rabiot + ramsey?

You make him sound like Cafu. I always liked him through the youth teams but his biggest problem is injuries, typical post-ACL record. So it would look nice to have him in the squad but you can't rely on him. And he's 28 now, so that problem is not going to improve.

Tactically I don't see him as a fullback any more than Bruno Peres is. These players tend to look decent in fits and starts for teams like Roma but they rarely seem to find a home here. He was a winger for a lot of his younger years and then they've kind of Zambrotta'd him, but a much poorer version.

Also, that deal was nothing more than accounting hocus pocus.

I make him sound like Cafu because our current LB position is non-existent.

He left when he was 26 which fairly young. Despite his injury record he'd make a fine addition to our squad. The way he penetrates the left side is quite great.

Accounting hocus pocus should happen when you don't fuck your squad up by letting a good LB go, you get a shit one which you loan out and end up with Sandro only.

Like I said, I don't think of him as a WC fullback, but surely a good addition to our squad, especially right now when I'd prefer him over Sandro for the past two years.

I agree he is a good player but you always need an alternative for Spinazzola. You'd still see AS play more than him for us, I'm totally convinced. Juve is not like Roma.

The accounting deal is nothing to do with technical choices. That much is obvious as Pellegrini hasn't played a minute for us whereas Spinazzola did. The club will be criticised either way because results on the pitch dictate supporter happiness with choices. I see the Spina-Pellegrini deal as nothing more than those deals we make with FC Sion or Genoa.

I'm pretty sure the club saw Danilo and MDS as valid left back alternatives, but between them they are not a strong option there. But that was a technical choice, the Spina deal is for accounting purposes.

Completely forgot this competition exists. The CL overshadows it so much.
Watching CL is like looking into the empty eyes of porn whore after a bukkake

EL is where you get to see soulful local clubs filled with shitters that pull double shifts in a sawmill and fans who didn't migrate into a club's fandom because of the latest n'gubu purchase or rapper endorsement

Ajax deserved to go through. Stupid mistakes cost them, the pk miss from first leg, a goalkeeping mistake to give Roma the win in. Then tonight unlucky with the var goal and deflection that lead to dzekos goal. They were totally dominant. Now here's hoping Roma shock and knock them union cunts even though I doubt it.
