Sure. But Pogba's strengths aren't playmaking or defending. He's an offensive midfielder who should be free to roam the entire pitch. That's why he was a monster for us. He was easily one of the three players I've seen play live that most impressed me (the others being Del Piero and Hazard, Totti I've only seen play one poor game and 10 min last year), but he's a shadow of the player he was.
He's doing it to himself as well to be fair. He's allowed a lot of freedom to go forward and constantly doodles around with the ball like an arrogant moron and gets himself dispossessed or kills any space United might have had to attack by slowing play down too much.

It was obvious he wouldn't suit Mourinho's team, many people said as much during the summer.
He needs other central mids around him and freedom. Neither of which he has at Man Utd.

People are exaggerating this, as some kind of strange excuse for Pogba. He participates in almost every single attack. He's expected to defend more than he did here, but he's constantly going forward to participate in attacks and takes countless shots. He has almost complete freedom on the pitch to go forward. He's just been incredibly arrogant and poor.
