Why is it pathetic?

There's a lot that's very good about Sassuolo, and TBH if more small/medium sized Italian teams followed their lead in terms of player recruitment, coaching, and general medium-long term planning, maybe there'd be hope for Serie A to improve as a whole.
Not everyone can be Juve's farm club, some have to take Milan's and Inter's projects too

Isolated, yes. It's admirable. But there's more to it.

Sassuolo's success is build largely upon a league in shambles.

Similar team in Premier League would have made all the knee-jerkers go: " EPL  Best League WORLD  EPL FANS :lol2:"

And that's where it becomes pathetic. The implicit bias that people boast around here in regards to especially Premier League, but just in general the level of neutrality/objectivity is non-existent.

they beat atheltic bilbao (6th la liga last season - sassuolo 7th) 3-0. make of that what you will
Are you aware how stupid that example is? Or do I need to help your pea-brain?

Which make such a feat more impressive, since the probabilty of failing is much higher.
If Juve feat under Conte-Allegri is legendary, Sassuolo journey not far off from impressive, from Serie B candidate, to EL.
Great team, with great management, kicking Milan from EL spot, and a good relations with Juve too. How can a Juventini hate them?

How exactly Serie A poor state has helped Sassuolo? And of course everyone would laugh at EPL team failing to beat Genk, there's a majestic difference in team budgets there, Sassuolo don't have neither stadium, money or fan base compared to any EPL team

Anyone considered Sassuolo and Italian football in general just ain't all that??

The Sassuolo fap party around 'Tuz is rather pathetic.
Did you see their injury list going into that match? They are a very good example of how smaller Serie A sides should be run and they have a nice, attacking style of play.

They will advance from this group and have a solid chance of winning a knockout tie if they avoid the giants.

I think what he wants to say is that Sassoulo are not doing anything special, they just stand out because other teams are incompetent.

That is my opinion anyway...
