You're absolutely clueless to the sport, Seven. Not challenged Hahahaha  most ridiculous thing I've read in the tuz yet.
I know. I don't get this. Teams press way harder, foul harder, tackle more willingly, because the refs keep their whistles silent and cards in their pockets. SO you have this ridiculously cautious, afraid of fouling nonsense here today. It's not just tactical, it's also cautious and slow because how the referees whistle matches in Europe.

And that is fine, when European games are well-played and the players have skill. But this Italian team is quite devoid of skill aside from the back 3, and maybe Florenzi. They have heart, and Conte's tactics are genius, but the skill is utterly lacking. This is like watching a lower-table side in Serie A play against Juve, only we've gifted our backline to that lower-table side. :D
It's impressive they manage to do this without true quality. They'd beat Chile that much is sure. But without Claudio and Verratti.. They're not an attractive side.

Look how much bigger the pitch seems in the Copa. It makes it easier for players to control the ball. Sure, you have more fouls in the Copa, but that's something else.

I think this Italy would win the Euros quite easily with Claudio and Verratti, and Conte's coaching. Those two with De Rossi would be a destructive midfield 3. So much talent, so much workrate and grinta, and passing ability. Us fans really got the short-end of the stick to have those 3 all missing for this match, the former 2 for the entire tourney. .
