It depends, in first old thread around 2008 euro, Modric was young talent impressing in NT but playing in Croatia while Diego was best player in Bundesliga (besides previous hype and dominance in Brasil). Pretty much most knew Diego and saw him as more proven/better. Its the arguments in later years when Modric established himself as top player in Spurs that got bit silly. Old Vlatko beef was with Rab I think, while the latter arguments was with Andy perhaps, or some other regular here, but for some reason recall Andy.
