Some many years ago he used to be a highly rated talent back when Anderlecht got him, probably could have had a better CV throughout the years as a backup in one of the bigger leagues but he always chose to play first along with a hefty paycheck.

This is why I love watching some of the supposed "lesser" matchups between different countries in the Euros, I remember them usually being some of the more exciting matches.
