More than decent as a unit. But for a top achievement, Denmark needs a top-quality player or two in midfield and attack. Croatia, for example, was a worse unit than Denmark, but having Modric and Rakitic in midfield, and then Mandzukic in attack, was decisive. Denmark is missing such kind of players.
Wondering how it might have turned out if Eriksen was still there, but it's just guess work. I also think we got spurred on because of his incident, it seems the group just stood even more together.
He has something about him, I like the way he strikes the ball (often on target) and turns well. He could progress into a good striker.
I think Denmark played some excellent football and just lack 1 or 2 better players or better depth e.g. none of the subs improved the team, the RW in particular had a bad game.
I'm not sure Spina would have been given that many attacking duties as he used to have. He'd have defended against Sterling I think.
Italians need to control the midfield, let Chiesa and Insigne work on the attacking part and defend the flanks well. Chiellini and Bonucci will take care of Kane.
Italy is the better team, no doubt. On a level playing field, they win hands down, imo. After tonight, however, I would worry about ref calls (cards, PKs, etc) affecting the result of that game.

I think they need to call the decision based on the rules.
You've got a qualified ref watching the game with multiple angles both in realtime and slow mo. There should be no excuse for incorrect VAR calls. But too often they either seem scared to say anything or when they do they zoom in on a slowmo which can skew things.
Very disappointing to see a close semi final decided by what was nothing more than a 10% penalty, and that is probably being kind. Home advantage counts a lot for things like this.
The way I see things rolling for England makes me think that this advantage will count in the end. They weren't impressive tonight and only dominated towards the end with better legs and depth, but they have the breaks. Wouldn't surprise me to see some random decision in the final again, and it's hard to chase this England around as they have a lot of young players and attacking threat to counter when leading.

The reason your boys got this far was because of that tragedy in the first place. They showed immense desire and courage, something they lacked, especially the latter. I think taking dolberg off was a mistake, he seemed like the only one capable of using some technique against their CB. That said sadly there was only one team in it. England played with immense patience I'm actually disgruntledly impressed, it's gonna be more of the same for Italy I'm afraid.
