That would be my fear. Lack of quality up front for them is pretty awful without Chiesa

Whenever I watched England play in a big tournament against a team with a superior midfield, I saw the English lose. Italy's midfield lost tonight, but I expect them to completely dominate England or Denmark on Sunday.

Spain played brilliantly, their passing and control is too much for most teams and Italy needed penalties to win. It was a tough game and the midfield was exposed by the style, doesn't mean that Italy were bad. The backups like Toloi were lacking though, the bench does look light especially the strikers. England wouldn't touch the ball against today's Spain but at this stage mental strength and desire will have a major effect. Denmark and England is going to be really tight, too close to call.

But it seems they always had a big gap from rich to poor. England is still a class society in many ways.

Britain isn't really like Downton abbey. Of course there are some wealthy families and some people on benefits but I wouldn't imagine it is much different from other countries.

Football is increasingly a middle-class sport these days given how much it costs to follow a team. Again not that different from other counties like Italy where tickets to watch Juve can be over 100+ Euros.

What a fucking unbelievable night I had. I wanted a quiet day at work, go home before 20:00, grab a beer and watch the game.

Everything what possibly could’ve gone wrong, went wrong. Been stuck with gazillion documents for hours basically didn’t see much of the first half, besides the goal and I understood that we weren’t playing well. The rest of the game I could watch luckily in between doing things.

Even driving to home I received a call that I forgot something damn my head was so full with emotions.

Now I’m home, 5 hours later than I planned to be, but I’ll take it.
