It's only Switzerland and Turkey, but i don't recall Italy starting so strong in a long long time. They almost always seem to start slow, even in tournaments where they do well. It's not just the result this time. It's the manner of the result. Very dominant indeed. Fewer superstars like previous years, but the unit as a whole is functioning better.

You don't realize the tempo Italy are playing in are making them like this. They were dominant most of the game vs Wales, until they decided to defend the lead too much.

The tempo Italy play is pretty incredible, no wonder Turkey and Switzerland looked tired.

Italy could struggle in front of some teams for sure..

i mean it is a team game after all. but Italy lack individuals quality. teams like france and portugal etc.. they have players who could do damage.

It's not bad though (he used to be an attacking mid/winger) and just by making the overlapping runs it opens teams up.
