It was a red card, but I also think it was unlucky. The intent wasn't malicious.

It was indeed unlucky. He wasn't going in for a tackle, he was attempting to clear the ball that was in the air while stretching for it and catches the player running towards him on the way down. I do think the red is warranted because of the effect itself and not the tackle (Similar to Son's tackle that broke someone's ankle a year or so ago).
(The photos make it look a lot worse, especially because the ball has been cleared and no where in the frame.)

Rossi so butthurt :haha:

butthurt? far from it. he got 2 points and a late loss thanks to a deflected shot from the group of death with a team worth 1/10 of the other 3 in the group. he's a happy man with lucrative offers. he's just enjoying the spotlight a bit.

He's enjoying the spotlight but only by tearing others down instead of lifting his own team accomplishments up.

He's expressed his annoyance with Ronaldo: https://www.besoccer.com/new/ronald...ndash-rossi-hits-out-at-portugal-star-1010538
and then dissing on other teams/players in his group where they came in last.

Which isn't to say they don't deserve it. But for his role to do that is petty.

Hungary has a lot to be proud of in their performance. But Rossi is butthurt because he's playing a zero-sum game by dissing on his more-successful competition as an attempt to make himself look better. It's sour grapes.

Someone who was confident in themselves and their team would be more likely to congratulate the competition in their group and encourage them on to win to represent how tough the Group of Death was. Instead he's mocked the entire group, which only frames him as a loser among losers.

How does he look better? He came last in the weakest group of the tournament. The three teams that advanced all went out in the 2nd round.

Does Belgium stand a chance without KDB and Hazard? Hazard alone may not be a huge loss but with no KDB they have zero creativity
Hm.

I think if we were used to playing without them, yes. We'd be much weaker than Italy, but we'd still have a few players capable of making a difference. Think Lukaku, Carrasco, Tielemans, T. Hazard...

But our game has been built around those two players for so long. We play a 3-4-3, partly because we have wingbacks capable of playing that role, but also because it allows for two playmakers to have a free role. In my opinion Martinez chose this system with KDB and Hazard in mind. We generally only look good when both are on the pitch. Even with them on the pitch tomorrow though, you have to ask yourself what shape they'll be in.

We'll start the game as underdogs for sure, but sometimes that's the easier position to play from.

Are they out 100% or is there a chance for a surprise recovery? @Seven
They're not 100% out and I believe both will start the game. I seriously doubt Hazard had more than a cramp anyway.

That being said I don't think either of them will be fully fit and I don't think they will finish the game. It remains to be seen if they're in good enough shape to actually make a difference.

He's taking a dig at the 3 specific teams who eliminated his team. That's literally what butthurt is.

It's the human strategy of tearing others down as a way to make you look better. Not saying it's working... just saying he's doing that.
