Mandzukic for all his effort and decent finishing does cause issues for a side trying to play free-flowing football. So many of Croatia's attacks stopped when he touched the ball, or stopped because of his lack of mobility

Well fuck this shit. 24 teams and the team that finished 3rd qualifies and knocks us out. After failing to get a single win in the group stages. LMFAO and it tells something about Croatian NT as well. Small team mentality, excessively celebrating wins against big teams, whole country was mobilized and then failing to beat inferior opponent in the very next one. LOL Napoli, Roma right there.

Instead of starting few of those young kids that beat Spain like Pjaca, Zdravko's puppet insists on Brozovic. Strinic :howler: Mandzukic :sergio: Shame, since this is probably the last tournament for Modric and there goes his opportunity to achieve something notable with NT.

Look at this quote I found from an article on The Guardian just now

https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2016/jun/26/spain-italy-euro-2016-last-16?CMP=share_btn_tw

When the video was analysed, Tassotti received an eight-game ban but it was too late. Clemente says that there was a belief that they could reach the World Cup final that year; instead they were out at the quarter-final stage. It was Italy who faced Brazil in the Rose Bowl eight days later, by which time Spain had gone. The image, though, remained. The day they met at Euro 2008, Marca opened on it alongside the headline: “Italy, this hasn’t been forgotten”.

The image was everywhere, one columnist remarking before the quarter-final in Vienna: “I go to fill the car with petrol and there’s Luis Enrique spilling blood behind the pump; I take a piss and there’s Luis Enrique in the cubicle, doubled over, cleaning blood off his disfigured face; I climb into bed and there’s someone next to my wife. It’s Mauro Tassotti.”
   our RedCafe mate writes for them :D
