Hummels was exposed badly today, that it was so disturbing to witness. The movements of Cassano and Balo was too much for that back line, they were stretched out and exposed out wide very easily. It showed how vulnerable the Germans back 4 are with little diagonal movements. Balotelli has to be one of the best CFs in the world at moving without the ball, he lacks concentration in finishing to become the great player that many people are expecting, he showed it today with his sublime finishing. Great game by Pirlo Rossi and Bonucci, I thought they dominated their positions.
And Marchisio & De Rossi.

Marchisio did choke on the 1 on 1,he mentioned he was too tired, but he was everywhere tonight, making sure the Germans could not attack from his side.
Balo! what a game tonight! Cassano was class,Pirlo and De Rossi bossed that Mid! Leo-Barza Rock! and should have not conceded the penalty,Balza was also really good,Chiellini could do much better but he wasnt fit..Montolivo best performance in an Azzurri shirt..

Forza Azzurri!

Balo showed great movement tonight - something I wasn't sure he'd be able to do, but the boy has grown in this tournament - however somewhat aided by the German central defenders completely abandoning marking as a core skill.

Cheesio was his usual self. Invisible for the first 60, dominant in the last 30.

Juventus Football Club will have the most representatives in the EURO final with 6..(If Fabregas gets benched)..This is a proud feeling for us Juventus Fans.

Its still effectively a Juve vs Barcelona final though.

Just forget the worlds best defence :D
not really - the goals came out of moments of brilliance from Cassano, Montolivo and Balotelli and not because Italy was creating chances and controlling the game. On the contrary, Italy's defense was looking shaky and it seemed just a matter of time before it crumbled when the goals went in and that just killed the spirit and momentum of the Germans, thus taking the pressure off the defense and making the game a walk in the park for the whole team in the 2nd half - I am still quite surprised by Germany's lack of heart and motivation after the break considering they didn't have much of an issue to create chances in the 1st ... Today there was no trace of that legendary "never die attitude" of theirs.

Italy did great, mostly in midfield and defense, in the 2nd half and controlled the game but again that was largely due to the Germans having accepted their fate and looking lost as a result of the shock from those 2 goals very much against the run of play in the 1st half
