Ballack is so German.

I think the one on the left is actually James Milner with a wig on. He's probably undercover, and he's clearly not a footballer.

Jamie Carragher (in his whiny high pitched voice together with horrible accent - great combo) said that Casillas and Hart are the two best goalkeepers in the world, and that Buffon is also there 'but a bit old now'.

LOL
Fairly sure it was Neuer.

Said Buffon was getting on a bit. Haha.

Probably was, I didn't quite hear the first name he said as I was talking to someone.

So he likes two tall, blonde, flappy goalkeepers who make great saves.

Thought France were pretty tame.

Main issue was that Benzema never looked to run in behind the England defence or work the channels, so the pitch was never stretched and England's defence was never really moved out of position or shape, so it was harder for the creative players behind Benzema to do much.

England were as expected.

Chuffed for Shevchenko.

Benzema played a more withdrawn role as the team needed it, they weren't able to unlock that defense. I thought France's offensive midfielders were finding more spaces on the wings than from the center, but that didn't help them in any way.

France needs a true targetman which will bully and unsettle the central defenders; they looked lost upfront.

Exactly, who I had in mind :agree:

He would have been good at the receiving end of those crosses.
:agree: France were definitely missing a reference point upfront, though I think it may have been down more to the formation.
