Exactly. Dutch fans, Italian fans, Spanish fans, German fans, Portugese fans.. they all care about football. The Irish don't. They just care about drinking.

I would be very surprised if it ends in a high scoring draw. Spain are easily better than Italy and are title contenders. Why make themselves look bad?
bc italy is a threat to spain, croatia isnt. they also can rest their best players and avoid yellow cards.
Never thought sweden-denmark would draw 2-2 in 2004. But they did, bc they both benifitted from that result. absolut disgrace, but thats international football.

Don't be such a sour-puss 7.
Yes, let's all cheer and put on wigs, because the Irish are oh so great. God forbid they try and do something besides getting drunk.

You see, you just dug yourself out of that hole. Yes, let's cast dispersions on the drunks, I'm with you all the way.
Cool.

The only way it could end 2:2 is if Spain take a 2:0 lead and then just stop playing, make subs, save themselves for the knock out rounds. But even in such scenario they just won't concede 2 goals.

My hope is Spain to accept a 2:2 before the match starts because that way they can rest the entire first team. But I'm aware that there is 0,00001% chance for that to happen.

Croatia's only realistic chance is the Irish to steal some pts from Italy. But even they will need incredible luck to achieve that.
I just don't see it happening, because if it ends 2-2, there will be a lot of pressure on Spain. Denmark and Sweden got away with it, because they are smaller teams. Even if their cheating was very blatant, people felt Italy had only themselves to blame. When one big team screws over another big team like this, the reaction is way more fierce. Spain will not want to be labelled cheats.

Seven, lighten up man, we're a tiny nation who got grouped with two of the worlds best teams and Croatia who are a very good team as well. We never stood a chance against the likes of these so why can't the fans just enjoy themselves?

It's not impossible, maybe a 30% chance. Italy will need to miss 4-5 good chances, Ireland will probably need to score as well.
Ireland will score off a corner. Italy will get some odd free kick in the final minutes.

If you don't go to the tournament to try and win, why go at all? Just get drunk at home.

FFS; what do you expect. They are one of the weakest teams in the EURO and they know it. Of course they care about winning but what are they supposed to do, hang themselves after losing? Should San Marino's fans take prepare a cianyde pill for after every match?

They know they cant win the EURO and they're enjoying themselves. Thats what football, A GAME, is about.

I guarentee that the irish fans will get drunker than any other fans at this tornament but cause the least amount of trouble and make the most friends drinking and having fun is what we do and we do it well.

It's not about their reaction after the game. It is about during. And the players are guilty of it as well. Ireland DOES NOT TRY to win.
