serbia were a very good team at the wc quals

as for wales, if i remember correctly lithuania are worst, the fact is whenever lippi sent his troops out, they were out to fight, not to pussy about like i have witnessed so far under crapadoni, dont give me this on form off form, not in shape crap

henry isnt match fit according to himself, yet he scores, the fact is these palyers are big enough professionals to cope with this, and may i just add that most f these players have already played for their respective clubs

chievo - cl preliminaries
barca and madrid
juve with their coppa italia's
milan and their cl preliminaries, etc...

so i dont see where you're comming from that they aint match fit
Let's wait and see...

The problem with Italy right now is that they're playing like a bunch of shitmongers. Nobody has the motivation to play anymore. The attitude I sense from the last two games is something similar to "you've already won the World Cup, why bother proving that you're the best in Europe?"

Donadoni has no choice but to put on younger prospects because they want to wear that Azzuri shirt more than, let's say, Camoranesi. The only mistake he made today was putting on De Rossi during the final minute, probably the stupidest tactic made by Donadoni yet.

I know this Italy is capable of better, and now that they have Scotland up their asses, they know it's crunch time.

P.S. Did anyone else notice how shitty Cannavaro and Zambrotta played today? Serves 'em right for leaving Juventus, those bastards! :D

thats no excuse

they lacked passion, and unity, doesnt matter if the season has started or not, it starts this weekend, does that mean we'll have a dull week of fixtures this weekend?

Dont be a complete Div here! If they show too much passion without fitness then what would you find? ..............Alot of yellow cards and possibly a few reds in tonights match and a more constipated look on Donadoni's face. The Azzurri were 2nd best everywhere. Ok france's first goal WAS offside from Gallas's cross, but i aint moaning. We'll get back on track eventually. Didnt like de michele mind you. De Rossi should have started tho.

the fitness excuse is lame, most of the players have already started playing for their clubs weeks ago in competative games

Didn't expect to get anything out of this match to be honest, which is why the result against Lithuania is so frustrating.

I didn't recognise this Italy, ugly, ugly, ugly.

No more words to say...

Hmm.

I wonder if the players are still floating on all the goodwill and affection of the fans for whom they "think" they can now do no wrong. They have been plain rubbish for the first two games, pretty embarassing really. Hopefully they'll get their backsides kicked enough in the press now that they'll have to pull out their fingers in the next games and show us the tenacity and fight that we fell in love with in July. They CAN do it, but it'll need a sharp wake-up call.
Shame our FIGC is full of gits - they wont help our cause i have a feeling.

For God's sake, give them time, okay?!
Excuse me?

What do you mean give them time? Italy are facing a very delicate moment at this time, drawing with Lithuania and loosing to france. France seem to be in good shape, the same goes with Scotland(Whom are not a team to be understimated). Loosing one more point IMO, then Donadoni's men will have to wave the good bye to Euro2008.

Of course they have to win their next matches. I meant that to me it was no surprise that they lost today. The next match is in october, right? The whole thing could look different by then...
Well, we'll see, I guess.
I'm just a very optimistic person and I refuse to act differently this time...:D
