Some pretty impressive stuff from Lazio to recover their own rank incompetence.

When I see teams playing properly with ten men, I do wonder why more sides don't play with that level of focus and patience when they have eleven men.

Lazio would be so hard to play against if they were usually that committed to maintaining shape, denying space and waiting for chances to counter-attack.

Instead teams feel the need to be more open and aggressive and generally take risks that don't really need to be taken.

It's now only when they go down to ten men (or in really big games like Juve away to Real Madrid last season) that you generally see the classic Italian mentality coming to the fore.

Mauricio isn't the distant cousin of a good footballer, he is beyond incompetent. Makes Aronica look world class.
